It’s Spanksgiving Day in the US, so here’s an edited parody poem to celebrate the occasion. (With apologies to Edgar Albert Guest!).
Gettin’ together to smile an’ rejoice,
An’ eatin’ an’ laughin’ with boys of your choice;
An’ spankin’ their butts an’ declarin’ that they
Are glowin’ more beautiful day after day;
Whippin’ an’ paddlin’ a bit with the men,
Breakin’ them in till they’re purple again;
Ridin’ their wholesome ass raisin’ a cheer,
Just for a while treat your boy like a steer.
Spankings fly fast as we run through the door
And under the old roof we paddle once more
Just as we did when the youngsters were small;
Asses a little bit redder, that’s all.
Daddy’s a little bit rougher, but still
Ready to romp an’ to slap with a will.
Here we are back at the table again
Bending right over – the boys for the men.
Bowed are their heads for a moment in shame;
Oh, but we’re grateful they’re takin’ the blame.
Home from the east land an’ home from the west,
Home with the folks that can treat them the best.
Out of the sham of the cities afar
We’ve come for a time to be just what we are.
Here we can play with ourselves an’ be frank,
Assume the position or just watch and wank.
Give me the end of the year an’ its fun
When most of the boys have worked hard on their buns;
Bring all the wanderers home to the nest,
Let me lay hands on the ones I like best,
Hear the young voices all cryin’ so long,
See the young faces all blemished by wrong,
See the young naughty boys bent over chairs
Nobody said that Spanksgiving was fair.
Here’s wishing you a truly rosy-cheeked glow on Spanksgiving!
